Emergency vehicle decontamination applies the same biohazard cleanup standards used in homes and businesses to vehicles – cars, ambulances, police vehicles, and fleet vehicles that have been exposed to blood, bodily fluids, or other biological contamination following an accident, medical emergency, or incident.
We get called by individuals, law enforcement, EMS providers, and fleet managers in Boring, OR after an accident, a medical emergency in the vehicle, or any incident that left biological contamination inside a car, van, or larger vehicle. Vehicles present a unique challenge since contamination can work into upholstery, carpeting, and hard-to-reach areas like door panels and under seats.
We start by assessing the interior fully, since fluid can travel further into a vehicle's interior than it first appears. Upholstery and carpeting that's absorbed contamination and can't be fully sanitized gets removed when necessary. Hard surfaces and any salvageable upholstery are treated with EPA-registered disinfectants rated for bloodborne pathogens, and we run odor treatment for any lingering smell – a common issue in enclosed vehicle interiors. All contaminated waste is disposed of following biohazard protocols.
Cost depends on the extent of contamination and whether upholstery or carpeting needs replacement versus treatment in place.
If a vehicle in Boring, OR needs biohazard decontamination, call (833) 326-1718 and we'll get it handled quickly and discreetly.
